Cats and Kittens

Scroll down to see kittens and cats currently available for adoption through our new program

MCPAW is excited to announce its new foster and adoption program in partnership with MC C3 (Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition). All of our cats and kittens are currently in foster homes and are fully vetted. If you would like to meet them, please fill out this adoption application.

In this program, MCPAW donors contribute the resources that enable MCPAW and MCC3 volunteers to transport the cats to and from veterinary clinics for MCPAW-funded spay/neuter services, vaccinations, de-worming, microchipping, combo testing, and, if needed, urgent veterinary treatment. Then, experienced cat foster parents provide the love, socialization, healthy foods, and enrichment that are critical in preparation for a healthy start to life and for successful adoption. Our expert volunteers also coach the adopters of these cats and kittens on how to best help them adjust to their new homes and lifestyles, and they are available for additional guidance to these pet parents in the future.

We view this as a critical service that we can – and MUST – provide due to shelters in our community (and across the country) being overwhelmed with cats and kittens, most not spayed or neutered. Additionally, this program provides a special human touch and the one-on-one attention that shelters struggling with capacity issues and staffing shortages simply cannot provide.

Although our initial goal is to raise enough funding for spaying and neutering 100 of these kittens, the need will far exceed that number and we ask for your continued support through additional donations and/or through making friends, family members, and colleagues aware of the support needed for this wonderful, impact-driven program.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with this program, please fill out this Volunteer application.

CURRENT CATS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

KITTEN SISTERS FUZZY, FROSTY, FEISTY and FIZZY and Mom FIONA. This wonderful little family was rescued outside by a MC C3 volunteer. They are about three months old and have all been spayed and vetted. They have adapted to life inside very nicely. They have learned to do what all kittens do:  play, run, jump and then crash. Fuzzy and Frosty are white with black, Feisty is a brown tabby with white, and Fizzy is a tuxedo. Mom is an adorable Tabico (calico tabby). If you would like the meet these cuties in their foster home, please fill out an interest application.       SISTERS PIPSQUEAK & PRUDENCE are adorable kitten sisters. They can be adopted all together, in pairs, or as a single if there is another cat at home. They are spayed, vaccinated, combo tested and microchipped. If you would like to meet them, please fill out an fill out an interest application PIPSQUEAK, all black, is a lover. Sometimes it's hard to hear/see the TV over her purring and snuggling. She is a little timid at first, but is a definite lap cat. No matter what I'm doing, Pip is there purring and chirping! She is the most vocal of her sisters and will respond if you say "Pip!" PRUDENCE, all black, is the shyest of her sisters, but she is still very sweet!! Little Pru Pru purrs a lot and loves to be petted, but will hide when strangers come over. With her foster parents she is more outgoing and likes to play with toys with us! She is a gentle and sweet girl that will surely warm up with someone who is patient.
PRINCE is a very special boy. He was found outside with a shattered back leg. Through lots of vet care he has recovered and is now ready for his furrever home. Throughout his ordeal he remained sweet, loving and gentle. What also makes him special is that he is FIV+, which experienced cat owners know is not a big deal.  Prince is now living in his foster home with CAT PAT (CP), another special FIV+ cost. As you can see by the pictures, CP and Prince are now buddies. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together but they can also be adopted separately.  If you would like to meet Prince and or CP, please fill out an interest application
CAT PAT   is also a very special boy. He was found outside lethargic, dehydrated and unresponsive. With vet care and love from MCPAW and MC C3 volunteers, has recovered and is now also ready for his furrever home.  Like Prince, Cat Pat is gentle and loving and FIV+.  As you can see by the pictures, Cat Pat and Prince are now buddies. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together but they can also be adopted separately.  If you would like to meet Cat Pat and or Prince, please fill out an interest application
