MCPAW is excited to announce its new foster and adoption program in partnership with MCC3 (Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition). All of our cats and kittens are currently in foster homes and are fully vetted. If you would like to meet them, please fill out this adoption application.

In this program, MCPAW donors contribute the resources that enable MCPAW and MCC3 volunteers to transport the cats to and from veterinary clinics for MCPAW-funded spay/neuter services, vaccinations, de-worming, microchipping, combo testing, and, if needed, urgent veterinary treatment. Then, experienced cat foster parents provide the love, socialization, healthy foods, and enrichment that are critical in preparation for a healthy start to life and for successful adoption. Our expert volunteers also coach the adopters of these cats and kittens on how to best help them adjust to their new homes and lifestyles, and they are available for additional guidance to these pet parents in the future.

We view this as a critical service that we can – and MUST – provide due to shelters in our community (and across the country) being overwhelmed with cats and kittens, most not spayed or neutered. Additionally, this program provides a special human touch and the one-on-one attention that shelters struggling with capacity issues and staffing shortages simply cannot provide.

Although our initial goal is to raise enough funding for spaying and neutering 100 of these kittens, the need will far exceed that number and we ask for your continued support through additional donations and/or through making friends, family members, and colleagues aware of the support needed for this wonderful, impact-driven program.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with this program, please fill out this Volunteer application.

CLASSIC, GRACE, ASHLEY and MOMACITA are all beautiful girls who were found outside.   Classic, Grace and Ashley are 4 month old kittens who are all very playful. Grace is all gray (in the middle) and is super soft and purrs immediately. Classic, a classic brown tabby (left) is playful and adventurous and learning to purr. Ashley, a gray tabby girl (right), is the smallest of the three siblings, and a little shy but her personality shines when you wave a wand toy in front of her. Momacita is a brown tabby (back row) who is still getting used to humans but also likes to play and eat! They are all fully vetted and use their litterbox with no issues.

SNOWMAN was being badly bullied by another non-altered tomcat in a colony. The colony care giver had been noticing facial and body wounds along with weight loss since he was afraid to eat. She asked us to come intervene somehow.  Amy Dygan, one of our amazing volunteers successfully trapped Snowman and got him neutered, vaccinated, and treated for his facial & body injuries. He is now thriving in his foster environment and can't get enough human affection. We have decided to retire him from life as a community cat and want to find him a safe, most loving home far far away from the neighborhood bully.
We promised him that he never has to fight another fight, he never has to feel wet and cold in a stormy night, he never has to feel tummy aches because he’s starved. He might not be an Arnold Schwarzenegger kind of a guy but could be an Alan Delon, who came from a rough beginning and became a superstar. The moment you meet him he will steal your heart with his sweet demeanor, cuddly paws and his sensational meow. If you are that special person / family who would like to share your life with our very special guy, hurry, fill out the adoption application so we can set up your “meet and greet”
HARRY POTTER is a young boy who was found outside with his brother. He quickly adjusted to life inside and is a total lovebug and lapcat. His brother Ron likes to observe from afar but they are very bonded and love to play. It would be great if they could go home together.
If you would like to meet any of the precious felines on this page, please fill out this adoption application.
