Cats and Kittens

Scroll down to see kittens and cats currently available for adoption through our new program

MCPAW is excited to announce its new foster and adoption program in partnership with MC C3 (Montgomery County Community Cat Coalition). All of our cats and kittens are currently in foster homes and are fully vetted. If you would like to meet them, please fill out this adoption application.

In this program, MCPAW donors contribute the resources that enable MCPAW and MCC3 volunteers to transport the cats to and from veterinary clinics for MCPAW-funded spay/neuter services, vaccinations, de-worming, microchipping, combo testing, and, if needed, urgent veterinary treatment. Then, experienced cat foster parents provide the love, socialization, healthy foods, and enrichment that are critical in preparation for a healthy start to life and for successful adoption. Our expert volunteers also coach the adopters of these cats and kittens on how to best help them adjust to their new homes and lifestyles, and they are available for additional guidance to these pet parents in the future.

We view this as a critical service that we can – and MUST – provide due to shelters in our community (and across the country) being overwhelmed with cats and kittens, most not spayed or neutered. Additionally, this program provides a special human touch and the one-on-one attention that shelters struggling with capacity issues and staffing shortages simply cannot provide.

Although our initial goal is to raise enough funding for spaying and neutering 100 of these kittens, the need will far exceed that number and we ask for your continued support through additional donations and/or through making friends, family members, and colleagues aware of the support needed for this wonderful, impact-driven program.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with this program, please fill out this Volunteer application.
