HELP MCPAW FUND SURGERY FOR THESE TWO ABANDONED CLEFT PALATE PUPS
FEBRUARY 22, 2022 – MCPAW is seeking donations to fund highly specialized surgical procedures for two abandoned sibling puppies born with cleft palates.
Thankfully, Andrea Whiting, an Emergency Critical Care Technician in Montgomery County, brought the puppies into her heart and into her home. She knew that for them to survive long enough to be eligible for life-saving surgery, they would need skilled tube feedings, special diets, expert oral care, and lots of unconditional love. She has been, and continues to be, amazing.
Pony Boy and Creasy Bear, as Angela lovingly named them, just had their final consultations with a veterinary surgeon in a nearby state who specializes in these challenging procedures. The total estimated cost for both surgeries (combined) is ~$14,000, plus initial post-operative care.
When we at MCPAW learned about the pups’ plight, we knew that our generous and big-hearted supporters would spread the word and help us fund a grant to pay for these substantial expenses. MCPAW disburses Veterinary Service Grant payments directly to the veterinarian’s practice, not to the pet parent, and we require extensive documentation.
Please help provide these sweet pups with the surgery needed for a happy and healthy life by donating today via our website (www.MCPAW.org), and include Cleft Palate Pups in the comments/notes section. Or, by mailing a check to MCPAW c/o 7315 Muncaster Mill Road, Derwood, MD 20855, and including Cleft Palate Pups in the memo line. And, please share the link to this page with others.
